Was the paintng La Belle Ferroniere donated or puchased to the Lourve museum?

Was rhis painting donated, if so by whom, and if it was purchased for how much?|||This painting came into the royal collections under Louis XIV and was one of the famous works forming the basic collection of the Louvre. It was not donated, history does say whether the work was given to the King, taken by him, or if he paid for it. .
