Whats the difference between a southern belle and a country girl?
Is there a difference? If so, what?|||Southern Belle is sweet and classy, Country girl has more of an edge to her.|||Typically, I would think of the southern belle as more upper class; country girl as more middle/lower class. Not in a negative sense, mind you. Thinking back to the 1800's, I'd expect to find a southern belle LIVING on a plantation with servants doing the work. Whereas a country girl would be living AND WORKING on a farm, doing the work herself. In modern terms, a country girl knows how to change a tire, a southern belle knows how to call triple A.|||It's largely a matter of affluence. If your daddy has money, you're a "belle" if you live in the trailer park, you're a country girl. Both seem stuck up and self important, while being "loose women" after dark. Cousins seem to be most favorite dates.|||southern bells r more classy and girly and country girls are tough and down to earth|||I see a southern belle as a sweet, innocent, "lady", whereas a country girl is more adventurous and tomboyish.|||Southern belle is a sweet soft spoken gentlewomen and a country girl is a loud tomboy morr rowdy|||southern belle is classier
