What is the relevance of the characters of Belle, Gaston, the Beast, and Belle's father to reading?

As in reading, my subject is Developmental Reading I. Please answer 'goodly'. Of course the lucky answerer gets 10 points. Thanks, guys.|||Belle's character is a bookworm, plain and simple. She loves to read and alwas has her "nose stuck in a book", as sung by the townspeople. She enjoys becoming lost in the worlds that books provide her, despite being seen as odd by the townspeople.

When she comes to live with the Beast, he gives her the gift of the library in his castle, this ultimately brings them closer together, which of course leads to a happy ending.

Gaston on the other hand, has a complete disregard for reading. He is very condescending towards Belle and her love for reading, he even throws a book into the mud at one point because it lacks pictures.

As for Maurice, Belle's father, I don't really know of any specific examples of him relating to reading at all. Though he is an inventor, so I am assuming that he can read quite well in order for him to invent things.

Hope this helps.
