What do you consider to be a southern belle?

I know they were once upper class women of the south that often toted parasols and poofy dresses.


But in this generation, what do you consider to be a southern belle?|||I think, from society's view, that a Southern Belle is a woman who is graceful, beautiful, and southern. I've always been called a Southern Belle... and people say that we Southern women are the best in the world(:|||A hypocritical blonde barbie, nighclub drinking 4 nights a week, a** flaunting, trendy shopping, look down her nose on everyone not like her living, bistro mocha sipping, churchgoing "i'm so innocent" upper middle class party sl**. Example-Elizabeth is a southerner. It's funny how we're supposedly entitled to our own opinion(I'm a U.S. Army veteran, thanks for incorrectly stereotyping me Liz)but yet, whenever you tell someone something from your own personal experiences, if it's not WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR, they automatically defame you and say you're wrong. Uh, aren't we entitled to our own opinion? And my opinions are based on my own PERSONAL EXPERIENCES, which of course, aren't the same as everyone else's! To clarify, I got treated well in Atlanta, Memphis, and New Orleans. What's a "Southern Belle?" I don't know. THAT'S WHY a lot of American women don't get treated respectfully. What's sad is that they'll talk like that to people they don't know, then can't figure out why they're not being respected.
