I want to add a southern belle accent to it, to make it sound more interesting and real, except that I have no idea how to do it! any tips, explanations, anything!
thank you!|||Words ending in Y end with ah sound, in other words, My word becomes Mah word. Words ending wire long vowel and R sound get an extra suyllable as in. I feel love and desire becomes I feel love and dee ZI-yah., and I do declare becomes I do de CLAY uh. If you're doing Amanda, feel free to be overdramatic.|||I love when I read suggestions for southern dialects (e.g., the description given by "PlainPat" from NY). I'm from the South, and we're not that overdramatic. We don't speak as slowly as one would think. Think less Gone with the Wind, slightly more Steel Magnolias...but that might even be a bit much

|||I've lived in the south my whole life and I swear I've never heard anyone in person use a "Gone with the wind" type southern accent. I've only heard it in movies or TV.

|||If you don't have lots of time to practice an accent, I would suggest not using it, it gets really irritating to listen to a person faking a dialect badly.
